Ramon L. Farnell (1954-1997) - Class Of 1973

Ramon Lamar Farnell, Jr., 43, departed this life on Wednesday, November 5, 1997, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his father, Montgomery Attorney Ramon Lamar Farnell.

A lifelong resident of Montgomery, Ray was born on February 8, 1954. He held a bachelor of science degree and a paralegal degree from Auburn University at Montgomery. He was a longtime member of the First United Methos ist Church. Ray's many interests included nature, music, books, and animals. He enjoyed his many friends.
He leaves surviving him his mother, Virginia Irene Ferguson Farnell: a sister, Sarah Kathryn Farnell and her husband, Jack Moody Purser, Jr.: one brother, William Clay Farnell, and his wife, Charlene Adams: and other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 1997, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, with Dr. Karl K Stegall officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
