Connie Ansley Thompson, 69, passed away on July 16, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
She leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Dr. H.B. Thompson; mother, Virginia Boone; sister, Ginnye Capps; nephew, Scott Capps (Paige); great-nieces, Haley, Camryn; sister-in-law, Shirley Deese.

Connie was an Eastern Airlines flight attendant when she and H.B. met. Later, their chosen daughter, Tamara, was added to the family along with pets, Chi Chi, Nestle, Zoe, Maddie, Sam, and Pepper. Connie was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and sister and past president of the University of Alabama Alumni Association of Etowah County. Connie was blessed to have great friends, especially those near the end of her life, Crystal, Michelle, Alacare Home Health, and Hospice. We also wish to thank Betty, who worked with and for Connie for years.

A private memorial service will be held for Connie.

Her favorite charities are Salvation Army and St. Jude Children's Hospital. Feel free to donate in her honor.
