Joanne McDade, age 91, of Deatsville, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Viola Wells McDade, siblings Aveline (Lawrence) Jehle, Annie Mae (Sam) Robinson, Dudley Harold McDade, Jr., Margaret (Gary) Halbert, Patrick McDade, and Elizabeth (Paul) Johns. Nieces and Nephews Tom (Becky) Jehle, Kakie (David) Wallace, Eddie Robinson, Harold Dudley McDade, III, Stephen Halbert and Linda Johns Strawn.

She is survived by her sister, Sara McDade of Deatsville, nieces and nephews Ralph (Judy) Jehle, Christopher (Tina) Halbert, Erich Halbert, Debbie (Tony) Storey, Buddy (Maria) Johns III, Danny Johns, Billy (Leslie) Johns, and Jimmy (Betty Jo) Johns, and many great nieces and nephews.

Joanne was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, Class of 1951. She retired from Maxwell Airforce Base where she worked her entire career in civil service. At age 60, she obtained a Bachelor of Business degree in Human Resource Management from Troy University naming her one of the oldest graduates of the school. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 15th at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery.
