Marcus Jones
November 26, 1955 – July 10, 2025

Marcus Jones was born on November 26, 1955, in Lowndes County, Alabama, to James and Gladys Jones. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1974. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Army, serving in various capacities. He served until retirement.

Marcus returned to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1995 and joined South Perry Street Church of Christ. Marcus was a saved and faithful servant of the Lord. He worked there tirelessly, at that congregation, from the time he joined, in service of the Lord, until the Lord called him home.

Four children survive Marcus: Tamiko Jones, Marcus Jones, Kayla Jones, and Timothy Jones; his mother Gladys Jones; five grandchildren Michael Jones, Nicolai Jones, Jaden Jones, MaKayla Jones, Laynden Jones; two sisters Deloise Jones and Anietra Mays, a niece and nephew, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and friends.
