Annette Daniel (Culp) (1925-2021) - Class Of 1944

Cordele, GA - Annette Daniel Culp, formerly of Montgomery, Alabama and currently residing in Cordele, Georgia, passed away at 1:00AM, Tuesday, January 20, 2021. She was preceded in death by her dearly loved husband of 45 years, Raymond Lawrence Culp, a precious granddaughter, Kaitlyn Annette Mullen, and eight beloved brothers and sisters.

Annette is the daughter of Thomas Walter Daniel and Annie Maude Thomas Daniel of Montgomery, Alabama. Annette was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, where she was a Capitol Heights United Methodist Church member and graduated from Lanier High School. She met her husband Ray while he was stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base during World War II.

Annette and Ray spent most of their married life living in Montgomery, where they were active members of Capitol Heights United Methodist Church. Annette was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and served Him in many leadership positions and ministries throughout her lifetime. She adored her large family, loved to read, and was a passionate bridge player.

Annette retired after 24 years of faithful service from the Alabama Agricultural Statistics Service, a division of the US Department of Agriculture, enjoyed many promotions and worked under five department heads. She loved to travel with Ray and baby-sit for her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Drenda Culp Sternenberg (Bob) of Cordele, GA and Patricia "Patti" Annette Culp of Montgomery, AL., three grandchildren: Robert Wesley Sternenberg (Allison) of Albany, GA, Ashley Sternenberg Kelley (Brian) of Ft. Myers, FL, Morgan Michelle Mullen of West Hartford, CT, five greatgrandchildren: Anne Catherine Sternenberg, Sarah Elizabeth Sternenberg, Ansley Ray Kelley, Isabel Grace Kelley, Robert Austin Kelley, and many adored nieces, nephews and their families.

The family would like to thank Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor and Reflections Hospice of Crisp Regional for their compassionate care while she was in their care.

A family only graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 11:00 am in Greenwood Cemetery.
