Mr. Farrell Duncombe (Band Director 1970s)

Montgomery - Rev. Dr. Farrell J. Duncombe a resident of Montgomery, Alabama expired June 2, 2021.

He leaves to cherish and celebrate his memories, a devoted and faithful wife of 55 years: Juanita Delores and they are the proud parents of two children: United States Army Colonel Farrell J. Duncombe, II, Washington, D.C.; (Antionette), and Dr. Djuana T. Paden (Jerome), Coordinator of Bridge Program/Retention Specialist - Alabama State University, Montgomery; and they are the very proud grandparents of Farrell Jackson Duncombe, III (Trey), Washington, D.C.; Loryn Nacola Duncombe, Woodbridge, VA; and Trinity Delana Wilson, Montgomery, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. from Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1550 East Washington Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36107, Rev. Walter E. Ellis, Pastor. Bishop Harry L. Seawright, Presiding Prelate 9th Episcopal District AME Church, officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, directing.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be limited seating capacity and masks will be required. Invited Participants and Clergy will be allowed ONLY. Funeral services may be viewed via live-streamed; Facebook and Youtube (Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Website).

Friday, June 11, 2021, a Public Viewing will be held from 12 pm- 5 pm at First Congregational Christian Church, 638 High Street, Montgomery, AL 36104. Phi Boule' Fraternity Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. followed by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both Memorial services will be PRIVATE.

In place of flowers, please make contributions to First Congregational Christian Church, United Church of Christ, 638 High Street, Montgomery, AL 36106 to Rev. Dr. Farrell J. Duncombe Scholarship Fund.
