A point of light has been extinguished; the sky made grayer. What a vivacious girl you were, brightening our classes and our lives with your honest charm. Drab rooms were made cheerful upon your entry and uncontrolled grins spread across our faces when you joined a circle of conversing friends. Bless you for your many unrequited kindnesses and for always giving more than you took.
I do not understand. I cannot reconcile the unfairness of your passing. How can one so loved by those she knew in the world, who gave joy to all she knew in the world, get taken from the world? Were there not enough angels? I shall presume myself to speak for Randy, Billy, Grover, Mike Stanford and all who knew you. Our sadness is matched only by the fond memories we forged while sharing a short stint of your life’s journey. Our sorrow is mitigated only by acknowledging that you will be cherished by those you meet in the next life as much as we cherished you in this one.
You will be forever young in our hearts where we will hold you until that day when we can once again hear the mirth of your laugh, see the light in your eyes, feel the warmth of your smile and be drawn to you like Lost Boys to their Wendy.
Godspeed, luv ya, wind at your back,
