Mrs. Sybil B. Knox (1925-2018 (D. O. , B. O. E. , Career Orientation 1960s -1970s)

Sybil Knox, 93, of Montgomery, passed away January 27, 2018. She was born in Ashville, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Luckey Knox, Jr., her parents Carl and Fletcha Baxter, and her sister Joyce Plaster.

Ms. Knox is survived by her daughter, Anita Berry, her sons Dan (Sheila) and Ben Knox, her grandchildren Amanda Medlin (Steve), Becky Berry, Danielle Hutcheson (Cortney), Leslie Knox, Allen and Jessica Knox, and her five great-grandchildren.

Ms. Knox graduated from Etowah High School and The University of Alabama. She was a retired teacher from the Montgomery County Schools. She taught at Sidney Lanier High School.

Ms. Knox was a devoted member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and served as a member of WIC, Bloodworth Sunday School class, and other volunteer services. She was also a member of ADPI sorority, University of Alabama Alumni Association, AEA, and Kappa Kappa Iota professional sorority.

Visitation will be February 4, 2018, 3:00-4:00 p.m., Rudder Funeral Home, Stevenson, Alabama. A graveside service will follow in the Stevenson City Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. 

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama, February 10, 2018. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. The service follows at 11:00.
