Wendell Woodwell "Woody" Canter, 62, a resident of Nashville, TN, lost his battle with cancer on July 31, 2012 but gained eternal Life with his Lord Jesus Christ. Woody was born May 6, 1950 in Montgomery, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell D. Canter, Jr. and Rebecca G. Canter. He is survived by his siblings, Robert L. Canter and Ann C. Titus, brother in law Tony Titus and nephew Dalton Titus all of Montgomery. Woody spent the last twelve years working in Nashville at Rodney Mitchell Salons and Juel Salon and Spa. He loved his clients and fellow workers and enjoyed the relationships that he shared with them. Special thanks to Lisa Mari Free with John Knox at Home and Jennifer Raney with Hospice of Montgomery who took special care of Woody in his last days here. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 4th with Rev. Paul Turner officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Monday, Aug. 6 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens in Hendersonville, Tn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Church, 726 W.
