Courtney was a member of the Marching Poets (Drums), and recently organized a mini-reunion to Cancun, Mexico, which he had just returned from two weeks before he passed away. He was a beloved classmate, with a strong sense of family, and he will be greatly missed.

Mr. Courtney D. Provitt, 38, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, departed this life on June 25, 2015 at Northside Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 12:00 noon from Northview Christian Church Safe-Harbor, 500 Eastdale Loop with Assistant Pastor Bryan Horn officiating. Interment will follow in Helicon Baptist Church cemetery, Grady, Alabama, with Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing.

Courtney was born to Cynthia Jackson and the late Bennon Provitt, Jr.

Courtney leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Cynthia Jackson; two God-daughters, Erika and Angel Blanks; God-son, Jordan Brown; sister, Tamia (Steve) Webster and a host of nieces, nephew, great-nephew, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.

Mr. Provitt will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
