Miss Susie Green

The only biology I know, I learned from Miss Green. She was one of the best teachers i ever had. We were so lucky to go to Lanier when we did and to get the education we received. Gerry Morton Morgan, 1952-56

I remember Susie Green.  She was a wonderful teacher.  And I remember the day when standing before the class, her bloomers fell to the floor.  She didn't miss a beat.

Harry, you are so wrong.  That was not Miss Green.  It was Miss Clark.

Miss Green was my first homeroom teacher at Lanier in 1960. She was also a fabulous biology teacher. Even more important to my life is that she understood that I also worked hard outside of school as an entertainer and entrepreneur and was my best encourager and coach. She understood those who needed to be entrepreneurs. Perhaps because of her encouragement I finished my degree at the University of Alabama in three years while working in the entertainment industry. Entrepreneurship has been the gift of a lifetime. Of course she made biology fun and interesting too.

Thank you Miss Susie!

PS – Even at the age of 68, I am still a performing and lecturing magician with an international reputation.

Biology is about life!

Very interesting comments Bob.  I never had Ms. Green.  I had Ms. Barnes for Biology.

All the best,
