THOMPSON, ""Fred"" Roland, age 82 a resident of
Montgomery passed away at home on December 7, 2010. He had been in frail health for many years. He is survived by two brothers,Jesse Thompson and wife,Naomi of Montgomery, John Berl Thompson of Foley, Alabama; sister-in-law, Clare of Warner Robins, Ga.; two grandchildren, Amanda and David Thompson of Montgomery. Fred served in the U.S. Air Force and upon his honorable discharge, May 1949 he worked for many years in Broadcast Radio at WCOV. Fred was a quiet unassuming gentle man and will be missed by all. Graveside services will be held in Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Friends will gather at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home one hour prior to the services.
