Dennis Bodine, 67, born April 22, 1950, died unexpectedly at home on February 21, 2018.

Dennis was a resident of Lake Martin and formerly of Foley and Montgomery Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bodine; children, Jared and Sommers Smith; grandchildren, Tristen and Mariner Smith; brothers, Brian and Chris Bodine; sisters, Elaine Bodine Carroll and Barbara Bodine Duncan; nieces, Leigh Bodine, and Krissa McQueen and nephews Danny, Brett, Anthony, Nicholas Bodine and William Madison.

Dennis retired as a Major from the Montgomery Police Department after 24 years of service. After his retirement, he served as Chief Agent for the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center from 2001-2010 and was a partner of Coastal Securities in Orange Beach, Alabama.

A Memorial Service will be held at Southern Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 2:00 PM with the family receiving friends beginning at 12:30 PM.
