Spicer, Julia Williams, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep, May 12, 2013. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Spicer was born January 7, 1924 in Georgiana, Alabama, and lived all her life in Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wesley Williams and Bertha Manning Williams; and by her sister and brother-in-law Sarah Williams Shell and Ralph W. Shell. She is survived by her daughter, Julia S. Brand (Frank) of Prattville; grandson, Wesley M. Brand (Kimberly) of Pelham, AL; great grandson, Brayden W. Brand also of Pelham; her brother, James E. Williams (Jewel) of Huntsville, AL; and her sister, Nancy W. Crippen (Ray) of Montgomery; her best friend of over 40 years Edna St. John of Montgomery; and an extended family including nephews, nieces and cousins. She loved and was loved by all. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the administration and staff of Prattville Health and Rehabilitation for their wonderful care and kindness.
