Andrew Carroll McLain, age 94, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama, died March 29, 2013 at the Angels For The Elderly, Inc., Montgomery, Alabama.

Mr. McLain was preceded in death by Betty Jordan McLain his wife for 43 years of marriage and by his parents, Mark Titus and Annie Gregory McLain of Montgomery; one sister, Myron C. Brock, Montgomery; one brother, Marvin D. McLain of Fitzgerald, Georgia; half sister, Kathleen Hughes of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; brothers, Luscious McLain of Montgomery, Alabama and Jack McLain of Huntsville, Alabama.

Mr. McLain is survived by Bonnie Aldridge McLain his current wife of 18 years of marriage; daughter, Kimberly J. McLain of Pike Road, AL; son, Michael "Mike" McLain (Jane) of Atlanta, GA and brother, Mark McLain (Susie) of Tampa, FL; granddaughter, Jordan McLain Padgett (Jason) of Nashville, TN; grandsons, Andrew McLain (Katie) of Helena, MT, Matthew McLain (Ashley) of Baltimore, MD; great-granddaughters, Taylor E. Padgett, Lindsey K. McLain ad Emily J. McLain; great-grandsons, Ryan B. McLain and Austin Padgett and sister-in-law, Rose Marie Mills of Montgomery, Alabama and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. McLain was inducted into World War II in 1942 and 1945 and served with the Army 265 Field Artillery Fire Direction Center, with duty station at Ft. Bragg, NC, Camp Shelby, Hattiesburg, MS and Ft. Mack Person, GA, with over sea service including Germany/England receiving the rank of T/Sgt along with metals and honorable discharge and returning back to Montgomery, AL, he was the owner and manager of IGA Grocery Store on Hull Street and there for 33 years before retiring.

Andrew was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church for years.

Leak-Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama will be in charge of arrangement for Funeral Services with visitation being held Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and graveside with Aaron Fleming officiating. Burial at 1:30 p.m., April 7, 2013 at Memorial Garden, Montgomery, AL. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, Andy Mills, Danny Mills, Mark Mills, Craig Mills, Andrew McLain and Matthew McLain.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Dementia/Alzheimer Organization or the Cancer Center.
