Ernest Raymont Helton, Jr was my father. He and my mother, Frances Colleen(Machen) Helton- also a Lanier attendee were killed in a head-on car wreck on Nov, 5, 1993. He was survived by his mother, Marjorie Rowell Helton, me, Frances Marcile Helton Forrester and my brother, Ernest Raymond Helton, lll. 7 grandchildren, Amy, Scott, Patrick Forrester and MaLisa, Raymond, Christopher, Christina Helton. My father served in the Army/Air Corp during the latter part of WWll and during the Korean war. He was a Navigator. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
