Beverly Candler (Rauschenbach) (1921-2011) - Class Of 1939

Beverley Candler Rauschenbach, of Cocoa Beach, FL , born on January 17, 1921 in Montgomery, AL, passed peacefully into Gods arms on October 16, 2011. She was the only daughter of Rob Hails and Albert Randolph Candler. Her two brothers, Robert and Randolph, as well as seventeen first cousins (all deceased) filled her early life with love and fun. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Gustave J. Rauschenbach. Beverley and Gus moved across the country frequently while maintaining close ties to Beverley's family, returning often to her family's summer home in Perdido Beach, AL. Beverley's list of treasured friends is a testament to her graciousness, curiosity, friendliness, generosity and sense of humor. Beverley was an accomplished seamstress, a golfer and an avid bridge player. She was active as a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni, Brevard Symphony, Cocoa Village Playhouse and the DAR. She is survived by two daughters, Beverley Cooper (James) of Salt Lake City and Roberta Robertson (William) of Winter Park, FL ; four grandchildren, Scott Cooper (Aspen, CO), Alysia Robertson (Annapolis, MD), Kimberly Robertson (Nashville, TN) and William Robertson (New Orleans, LA). A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 75 Barton Av., Rockledge, FL 32955, on November 5th at 11:00 AM.
