Gene Wingate Tibbets, age 68 resident of Georgiana, AL died Sat.. May 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Lucy Wingate Tibbets and Brigadere General Paul W. Tibbets. Survivors include his wife Janice R. Tibbets of Georgiana, two children Gina Tibbets Till (Gary) of Navarre, Fl. And Chuck Tibbets (Allison) of Panama City, FL. Two grandchildren: Madison and Averie Tibbets. One brother Paul W. Tibbets, Jr. of Greer, South Carolina and Ed Grant his oldest and dearest friend of Tallahassee, Fl. Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel Wednesday May 23rd from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Montgomery on Thursday May 24 at 2:00 with Father Tony Xavier officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Georgiana, Al. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the Wesley Chapel Cemetery Fund in Georgiana, Al.
