Adele Virginia Warner (1926-2013) - Class Of 1947

Adele Virginia Warner, passed away December 5, 2013, at the tender age of 87. She had been ill for several months prior to her death. She was a resident of Montgomery and lived in the Fairview United Methodist Church area all of her life. She is survived by, nieces and nephews; Laura L. Howell of Seminole, FL, Truitt Luckie (Kathy) of Birmingham, Warner Luckie (Christi), Paige Shultz (Roger) of Spanish Fort, Daniel Warner (Carolyn), Edmund Warner (Nora), Kay Spivey (Rob); great nieces and nephews; Zach Luckie, Chandlar Luckie, Austin Luckie, Dudley Luckie, Hanna Swain, Mallory Swain, Ivan Shultz, Rebecca Warner, Rachel Warner, Bud Warner, Charlie Warner (Amanda), Dozier Warner, Amanda Mathews (Dusty), Hudson Mathews, Lillie Claire Mathews, Janet Leigh Guynn (Matt), and David Spivey; sister-in-laws; Betsy Warner and Mary Warner; Brother-n-law; George Luckie. She was preceded in death by; her parents; Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Warner, Sr.; brothers; Charles H. Warner, Jr. (Janet), Jere M. Warner, John S. Warner, and sister Edna Luckie; nieces: Mary Martin Warner and Betty Warner. Miss Warner was a very loyal and active member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. She served in various capacities on the church administrative board, taught children's Sunday School, and served in United Methodist Women. Miss Warner retired in 1987 after 36 years of civilian employment at Maxwell Air Force Base. She adored her savior Jesus Christ, her family, and especially her nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Joel Wasson, pastor of Fairview United Methodist Church officiating the service. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Pall bearers will be, Warner Luckie, Dudley Luckie, Truitt Luckie, Roger Shultz, Daniel Warner, Bud Warner, Charlie Warner and David Spivey.
