James W Jordan - Class Of 1946

James W. Jordan, age 88, a longtime resident of Lake Worth, FL, passed away September 6, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was retired from Pratt Whitney after 28 years of service and spent his retirement years perfecting his tennis and golf.

James was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, and was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Clarence and Dixie Charles Brinson Jordan, and siblings, Lonnie C. Jordan, Jr. and Martha Jane Jordan Brown. He is survived by his wife, Donna Burch Jordan; brothers, Charles D. Jordan (Alice) and George E. Jordan (Florence); sister-in-law, Pat Jordan; children, Lee, Dean, Barton and DeAnna Barton Connor; granddaughter, Danielle West Kirk; great-grandchildren, Corey (C.J.) Emalee and Abigail Kirk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 11, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Vitas Hospice, or Alzheimer's Association.
