Mary Jo Flurry was born June 23, 1920 and passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the age of 90.
She was preceded in death by:
Her parents Horace and Dewilda Flurry;
Her brother William Flurry;
Her sister-in-law Frances Flurry;
Her sister Elaine Fowler;
Her brother-in-law Bernard Fowler.
Mary Jo is survived by:
Her brother James Flurry and his wfe Jean;
Her niece Mary Beth Nordgren;
Her niece Debbie Flurry;
Her nephew James Flurry, Jr., and his wife Jan;
Her niece Ann Perkins and her husband Tom;
Her niece Barbara Thrasher and her husband Woody;
Her cousin Betty Jo Cantrell and her husband James;
and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ms. Flurry retired from the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations and was a life long member of First United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at Leak-Memory Chapel on Saturday, June 25 from 10:30am until time of the funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
