Mrs. Brenda Denise Gray, 54, of Cartersville, GA passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 1:00 pm at The Church at Liberty Square, Cartersville, GA. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 pm until the hour of service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home.
There will be a second service held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Ross-Clayton Chapel, 1412 Adams Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama 36104. Interment will follow in Greenwood Serenity Cemetery, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36104.
Brenda Denise Gordon Gray was born July 1, 1960 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Selena Brown Gordon and Anderson Gordon.
Brenda graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1978 as an honor student and a member of the marching band. From there, she attended Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University; graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration. Brenda's thirst for knowledge led her to Kennesaw State University where she earned an Executive MBA in 2013.
Brenda was a Global Marketing Manager for Shaw Industries for 29 years where she facilitated training for domestic and international markets. She was co-owner of Always Best Care Senior Service Agency, providing much needed assistance to the elderly.
Brenda was an active member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, serving on the Deaconess Board and Scholarship Committee. She was on the Board of Directors for the Etowah Scholarship Foundation and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Rome Chapter.
Left to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband of 31 years, Fredrick Fitzgerald Gray; Son Gordon Fitzgerald and Daughter Gabrielle "Gabby" D'anne Gray; Four sisters: Wanda Gordon, Lithonia, GA; Dr. Jacqueline Giles (James), Stone Mountain, GA; Sandra Gordon-Harris, Powder Springs, GA; Sheila Shine (James), Montgomery, AL; Brother: Anthony Gordon (Inga), Lithonia, GA; Nephews: Alexander Giles, IV, Christopher Gordon, Anthony Gordon, Jr., Joshua Gordon; Lyndell Harris, Jr.; Nieces: Alexia Matthews; Saundra D. Harris; Uncles: Willie Thomas Brown (Odell); John Henry Brown (Myrtle); Arthur Edward Brown (Eloise) all of Montgomery, AL; Aunts: Elizabeth Jones, Westbury, NY; Annie F. Brown, Orlando, FL; Gloria Jean Brown, Montgomery, AL, and a host of relatives, friends, and well-wishers.
