Lanier Loses Joe Kern After Car Accident

On September 25, 1966, Joe Kern, a well-known, well-liked Senior at Lanier, died as the result of a wreck the night before.

The funeral was held the next day at Memory Chapel and was attended by his numerous friends. The boys in his ROTC Company were the honorary pallbearers.

Joe was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Kern, of 3133 South Court Street.
