In Memory Of Our Poets

Debbie Meyers (Lane) (1956-2021) - Class Of 1973

Deborah “Debbie” Lane was a caring mother, grandmother (Gam), sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on June 21, 2021, at age 65.

She was born to Roy and Elizabeth Meyers on February 3, 1956. Debbie attended high school both in O’Fallon, IL, and Montgomery, AL. After graduating from high school Debbie attended Illinois State University where she met her future husband. Their union led to her having two sons, Tripper & TJ Lane.

Debbie loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family and friends. Neighborhood friends of Tripper and TJ would often stop by after school when they were growing up, or after long days at the pool, and she would make the best meals for everyone to enjoy. Most weekends were spent at the church, or with family doing whatever she could to help, making life easier for all – she was kind beyond measure.

Debbie is survived by Robert “Tripper” Lane (Michelle) and Thomas “TJ” Lane. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Meyers. Along with being a loving Aunt to Elizabeth Boglen, she was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Avery and Isla Lane. Her unique and thoughtful ways of expressing her love for both her grandchildren will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life is scheduled for July 10, 2021, from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the home of Trip & Michelle Lane; 8505 Autumn Ridge Court, Louisville, KY 40242.

Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation – Debbie was a two-time breast cancer survivor and met each obstacle with head-on determination.
