Brenda Semmes Wood, 65, of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. A lifelong resident of Montgomery, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Malcolm Wood and a son Christopher Dale Wood. Brenda was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the owner of J. M. Wood Auction Company, Inc. Survivors include her long-time companion William Roger North; Children: Kimberly Wood Cox (Jeff); Bryant Semmes Wood (Cindy); Ruston Ryan Wood, Sr. (Lynsey Anne); Robin Alexander Wood; Grandchildren: Shelby, Sarah Beth, and Aubrey Cox, Katie Brooke and Lauren Wood, Ruston and Watson Wood; Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:30 am Friday at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Kenny Hoomes officiating. Interment following at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Hogg, Robert Rawls, Ray Hogg, Sammy Hogg, Ben Louviere, Tony Spencer, Bill Jones, Johnny Hogg, Mickey Pitts and Tommy Hogg. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Ivey, Scotty Kelley, David Lockhart, Gerald Beckwith, Daniel Harbin, Paul Fazzio and J. D. Gray.
