Mr. James Alfred Deaton, age 64, a resident of Cecil, AL passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Turner officiating. Burial to follow in Brookside Memorial Gardens, Millbrook, AL. Mr. Deaton was Retired from the City of Montgomery Arson Division as Captain. He also served in the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Deaton of Cecil, AL; daughter, Tammy Turner (Jet) of Auburn, AL; 2 sons, Jimmy Deaton (Melissa) of Pike Road, AL; Ricky Deaton of Pike Road; 2 brothers, Harry Deaton of Millbrook, AL; Buddy Deaton (Norma) of Deatsville, AL; 5 grandchildren.
