Brenda Kay Longcrier Christian (Herchel) - July 23, 1946 - October 30, 1984 (Metastatic Breast Cancer)
Kay was a 1964 graduate of Lanier. She married Herchel M Christian in July, 1965.
They had two(2) sons; Mel - January, 1967 and Mac - April, 1970 - Sept 25, 2010
Kay was a devoted housewife and wonderful mom to Mel and Mac. They lived in east Montgomery and the whole family was involved with the AUM Dixie Youth Baseball League. Herchel was president and one of the founders of the league at its inception. Kay was a "team mom" many times for her boys and their teams. They were a loving and happy couple thoroughly involved with their sons' school and sports activities during the week and camping out and fishing on the Alabama River on many weekends. Herchel was elected the District 1 City Council Member in 1983 with Kay at his side. Our dad called her "beauty" and I can honestly say that I have never met a sweeter person in my life than my baby sister.
