Ted was my company commander in ROTC when I was at Lanier.  He was KIA in Vietnam on September 3, 1966 as part of the 101st Airborne Division.

Ted was also my friend in Junior ROTC at Lanier.  He asked me to enlist with him after graduation but I went on to Auburn University instead.  He was a good guy and a good friend.

I was the ROTC Sponsor in Ted's Company at Lanier. Although I never knew Ted well, I was so saddened when I heard that he had lost his life in Vietnam. And yes, when I visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., the first thing I did was to look up Ted's inscription. He was a good man.
