One of the best friends I ever had while growing up. Always there to listen to my girl problems, my aspirations and fears, and most of all, just being there when I needed a pal. You will always be in my heart Joan.
Joan was my first love. She taught me things, and tried to teach me things that I didn't understand for another 20-25 years. We've been in touch since we were 14 yrs old and I admired her more each year since. We once determined that we'd introduced 7 couples who were still married in 2000. Everyone should have a Joan in their lives.
Sandra Starr Miller. Joan was not only one of my best friends she was my neighbor. I can remember running to joan's house because she was always on the phone,,,,....and I wanted to talk to her.........calling her was out of the question because the line was busy.She also wrote in my year book.......we had so much fun the weekend we stole your mother's car. Needless to say I got in trouble because my parents read it.I am so sorry we didn't stay in touch.She had a beautiful daughter and my mother and I baby sat for her when Joan's mother died. thanks Joan for being a great friend for all my important years growing up in Montomery.Love,Love

following a valiant three and a half month battle with cancer.
