Bear,Theodore Lawrence, III a native of Montgomery, Alabama, died Monday, September 29,2008 at home following an extended illness. The funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 1,2008 at St. John's Episcopal Church with Rev. Gates Shaw officiating. A private burial will follow. He is survived by his son, T. Lawrence Bear IV, and daughter Mary Margaret Burch. He was an advertising and marketing executive for 40 years. He served on many boards including the Montgomery Country Club, YMCA, Montgomery Academy, YMCA Endowment Fund, Jackson Hospital Foundation, and was Secretary and Treasurer of the City of Montgomery Medical Board. He was also a member of The Men of Montgomery and served on the board of MACOA. He worked with many Civic Organizations such as United Appeal, Cerebral Palsy, Montgomery Lions Club, Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Montgomery City Commission. Serving as pallbearers will be George Clements, Richard DuBose, L. D. Fitzpatrick, Robert Sternenberg, Joseph Bear, William Hughes Jr., Joseph Hughes, and Lawrence Hughes.
