Grace Amelia Woodling (Yarbrough) (1941-2017) - Class Of 1959

Grace Amelia Woodling Yarbrough, a native of Albany, GA, a resident of Montgomery, AL, left this world Monday, February 27, 2017 at the age of 75 at Jackson Hospital after a sudden illness.

Grace was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, married her childhood sweetheart Oliver Collins (Buddy) Yarbrough and was retired from the State of Alabama Department of Revenue. She was well traveled and appreciated the fine arts. Grace's beautiful sweet smile, sense of humor and deep laughter would light up any room she entered. She was a dedicated member of the Heritage Baptist Church family, an avid Alabama football fan, bridge player, bunco player and truly loved and enjoyed shopping; but most of all, Grace was a true southern belle that held her family and friends close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. Woodling and Lola Mae Hern Woodling and her beloved husband, Oliver Collins (Buddy) Yarbrough. Her survivors include her niece, Janet (Damian) Walley; her nephew, Charles (Cindy Lawson) Woodling; her dear friend, Herman Naron and numerous great and great- great nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends all of whom brought great joy to her life.

A visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 12:00-2:00PM followed by her Life Celebration Service at 2:00PM with Dr. Teman Knight officiating and Kenneth Loomis performing worship music. Interment will then follow in Oakwood Saint Margaret Cemetery. Pallbearers are Barry Crook, Bob Gandy, Larry Jones, Gus McLendon, Lamar Parker, and Lee Wright. Honorary pallbearers are the Haven Sunday School Class of Heritage Baptist Church.
