Martha Ann Hansen, age 78, died from complications due to a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's disease. Her loving son David Hansen was present in her final moments. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L Hansen Sr and her father David B. Hughes and her mother Martha Choate Hughes and her sister Nancy Baker.

Martha is survived by her son, Robert L Hansen Jr and his wife Debbie of Millbrook, Alabama, daughter Krista Dauphin and her husband Keith of Atlanta Georgia, and her son David Hansen and his wife Jennifer of Akron Ohio, a brother David Hughes of Fairhope Alabama, a brother William Hughes of La Grange Georgia, a sister Diane Draughon of Albuquerque New Mexico; and seven grandchildren Hunter Hansen, Brooke Ratcliff, Bodhi and Devan Dauphn, Jessica South, Rachel Paulk, and Rebecca Stovall.

Martha was born July 27, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery Alabama and married her loving husband Robert Hansen on December 22, 1961. Although a retired state employee, the main passion of her life was her beloved family.

A memorial service is scheduled at Southern Memorial 3154 Highland Avenue on Thursday, March 1st at 1:00.
