Elizabeth Crawford Pearson was born in Mobile, Alabama on 19 July 1938 to Robert H. Pearson and Elizabeth Crawford Pearson. She is listed in the 1940 census of Mobile, Alabama with her parents and again in the US Social Security Death Records as Elizabeth C. Pearson McGowin. She graduated in the class of 1956 from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, Alabama. She married following graduation from college to a Mr. McGowin. She died on 16 December 1990.
