Frank Donald "Don" Harbin (1937-2015) - Class Of 1956

Frank Donald "Don" Harbin, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Westside Terrace in Dothan. He was 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.J. and Mary Helen Gross and his wife, Suzanne Bartley Harbin.

Mr. Harbin was born January 4, 1937 in Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Lanier High School and attended Huntington College in Montgomery. He loved the beach and fishing at the lake. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Harbin was an avid Alabama football fan and his favorite phrase was "Roll Tide!" He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa H. Brazell (Scott) of Dothan and Kathryn E. Harbin of Sanford, FL; two grandchildren, Jordan Scott Brazell and Kendall Suzanne Brazell, both of Dothan; and one brother, Charles Joseph Gross, Jr. of Montgomery.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Rick Evans officiating and Leak Memory Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Leak Memory Chapel. Byrd Funeral Home, Dothan, Alabama is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful caregivers at Westside Terrace and Covenant Hospice.
