McGOUGH, Mary "Molly" Ledyard passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was 91. Her parents were Robert Elisha Ledyard and Fannie Lou Brooks Ledyard. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. McGough; brother, Thomas Ledyard; and sister, Lucy Simmons. She is survived by a son, Joseph "Joe" McGough, Jr. of Montgomery; a daughter, Mary Helen Mahan (Kenneth) of Montgomery; two brothers, Robert E. Ledyard, Jr. of Huntsville and W. Morgan Ledyard (Danella) of Montgomery; a grandson, Kenneth E. "Gene" Mahan, Jr. of Denver, CO; a granddaughter, Teresa Jackson (Cameron) of Tallahassee, FL; two great grandsons, Emerson and Pierce Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. McGough was born in Beaumont, Texas and moved with her parents to Montgomery shortly thereafter. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she was involved in many activities and functions. She attended Capitol Heights Elementary and Junior High Schools, and graduated from Sidney Lanier High School. She attended the University of Alabama. She was a member of Mother's Circle, the Honeysuckle Garden Club, and The Society of Mayflower Descendants. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the library.
