Genevieve Moore Azar died March 25, 2007. She is survived by her five children: Jim, Ken, Bobby, Greg, and Kathy Miller Azar, her sister Sabra Moore Maddock, a brother Howard W. Moore, nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Genevieve was a lifelong member of Aldersgate UMC (formerly Forest Avenue Methodist Church) and taught preschool at Aldersgate. She also provided day care in her home for many years.
Genevieve was a true nature lover. She really enjoyed working in her flower garden and feeding the birds. Genevieve enjoyed visiting with friends and held family gatherings during special holidays. She especially loved the Christmas seaon and spent many hours shopping for that special gift that she would give to each person on her gift list. Genevieve never forgot a birthday.
Genevieve was a gracious, courageous lady who stayed so strong throughout her battle with liver cancer. Today, March 25, 2011, marks four years since her passing.
