Jimmy Walker Masingill, Sr. was born on August 14, 1935 and passed on to eternal life on Monday, January 11, 2016. Born in Montgomery, AL, an Auburn graduate, forester, and retired in Beatrice, AL.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Ralph R. Masingill and his mother Verna Wilson Masingill and a sister Verna Patricia Moncrief.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Harriet Meredith Masingill; his children, Jimmy W. Masingill, Jr. (Elizabeth) and Eric Blake Masingill (Katie). His grandchildren, Taylor Yvonne Masingill, Meredith Botsford Masingill, Amy Leigh Masingill, Catherine Carlisle Masingill, Hannah Cardwell Masingill, William Walker Masingill and Matthew Blake Masingill.

The family will receive visitors at the Beatrice Community Church on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 10AM to 11:30AM at Beatrice Community Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:30AM with the Rev. Jeff Lawrence and Rev. Jim Jeffcoat officiating.

Burial will follow at Pineville Methodist Cemetery in Beatrice, AL. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
