BAZZELL, Charles Tatum, 75, beloved husband, father, and friend joined his loving Savior on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, after a six month battle with cancer. He was born March 6, 1933. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Hubert ''Red'' and Mattie Lou Bazzell; sister, Emma Lee Temple (James). He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bazzell; three daughters, Anita Owens (Lewis) of Alabaster, AL, Sharon Kegley (Greg) of Wetumpka, AL and Kathy Spencer (Gina) of Pine Level, AL; and eight grandchildren, Taylor Owens, Molly Owens, Jonathan Gober, Jeremy Gober, Peyton Kegley, Kyle Stevens, Kayla Spencer and Sam Spencer. Charles retired from Red Bazzell and Son Auto Body & Paint Shop after thirty years. Before that he worked for Howell Typewriter in Orlando. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a member of Frazer United Methodist Church and helped with Meals on Wheels and Roll up Your Sleeves. He spent many hours in his workshop and many more hours with his family and friends at the lake. He loved riding his Harley and spending time with his Harley friends. The family is grateful to all Charles' caregivers including: Dr. Keith Thompson, Dr. Guin Paulk, Dr. Kirby Parker, Baptist Hospice, Dr. Mont Highley, and the nurses and staff at Baptist Medical Center East who cared for him. Pallbearers are Renny Lambrecht, David Cloud, Joe Orr and James Wiley. The family will receive visitors at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, with Dr. John Ed Mathison officiating.
