Cedora "Dorrie" Josephine Stephens (Madden) (1932-2008) - Class Of 1950

MADDEN, Cedora Josephine Stephens, age 76 and a resi­dent of Montgomery, died September 16, 2008 after an illness. Graveside services will be Monday, September 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Green­wood Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth R. Bailey, Jr., Rector, officiating. Dorrie was a be­loved mother. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many dear friends.  She retired from the federal government Social Security Administration after many years and was a member of St. Joseph of Arimathea Angli­can Church. She is preceded in death by her loving hus­band, James Edward Mad­den, mother Madeleine Miller Stephens, and cousins Ida Belle Young and Ida Jose­phine Evans. Survivors include her daughter M. Virginia Madden, son James Edward Madden, Jr. and his wife Eliza­beth Fountain Madden and cousin Elizabeth Ann (Bill) Al­lan. Visitation will be Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Leak-Memory Chapel from 3:00 PM until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flow­ers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph of Arimathea An­glican Church, 355 Bell Road, Montgomery, AL 36117, Fair­view United Methodist Church, 5500 Old Selma Road, Montgomery, AL36108, or to a favorite charity.  Leak-Memory Chapel Directing
