HUGHES, Johnny Tate, Jr. (J.T.), 80, a resident of Hope Hull, AL, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.Mr. Hughes was the original owner of D.J.'s Old Post Office restaurant in Hope Hull for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Droyt W. Hughes. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Baker (Stewart) and Diane Coppock (Larry); sister, Inez Sellers (John) and stepsister, Norma Robbins; brother, Ed Hughes (Nita) and stepbrothers, Ed Robbins (Chrys), Arnold Robbins (Martha); five grandchildren, Jennifer Rooke (Ben), Jeramy Coppock, Ben Coppock, Chris Baker, and Matt Baker; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Baker, Matt Baker, Ben Coppock, Jeramy Coppock, Larry Coppock, Stewart Baker, and Ben Rooke. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hope Hull Men's Breakfast, and Tom Sellers, Marty Hughes, Marvin Ratley, and Jerry Finlayson.
