She was a member of Swift Presbyterian Church, and was active in Bridge Clubs in Foley and Orange Beach.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, John B. Thompson of Foley, AL; one son, John B. Thompson, Jr., and his wife Donna of Newnan, GA; three daughters, Jessica Rene Buehler and her husband Larry of Angleton, TX, Jennifer Johnson and her husband James of Foley, AL, and Jackie Ferrell and her husband Arte of Foley, AL; two brothers, Marlin H. Anderson of Hopkinsville, KY, and Charles Anderson of Birmingham, AL; three sisters, Pat Magdalenski of Birmingham, AL, Doris Johnson of Folkston, GA, and Julia Andrews of Trussville, AL; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
