Mose Wadsworth Stuart, III (1932-2014) - Class Of 1949

Mr. Mose Wadsworth Stuart III, age 82, of Montgomery, Alabama died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Mr. Stuart was born in Montgomery on March 17, 1932. He was preceded in death by his father, Mose Wadsworth Stuart Jr., and by his mother, Forrest Burkhead Stuart. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva Stuckey Stuart, his sons, Mose Wadsworth Stuart IV (Monette), William Bonneau Stuart, Forrest Murray Stuart (Pam), his grandchildren, Mose Wadsworth Stuart V, Murray Campbell Stuart, Emily Margaret Stuart, and Katelyn Murray Stuart.

Mr. Stuart served in the United States Navy and was a general contractor. He was a founding member of Christchurch and a past president of the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. He was also a member of the Radio Aero Modelers of Montgomery (RAMM) and a reader for the National Federation of the Blind Audio Newspaper Service.

Pallbearers will be Mose Wadsworth Stuart V, Murray Campbell Stuart, Edgar Wadsworth Stuart, David Winter Stuart, William Bibb Goodwyn III, William Lovard Lee III, and Robert Hayne Hollis III. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tuesday Morning Bible Study and his weekly coffee group. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christchurch Organ Fund or the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra.

The funeral will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Christchurch, 8800 Vaughn Road in Montgomery with the Rev. John-Michael van Dyke officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM in Canterbury Hall at the church. Graveside will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
