Curtis Maley Nordan, Jr. (1931-2013) - Class Of 1949

Curtis Maley Nordan, Jr., 82, lifelong resident of Montgomery, AL passed to larger life on November 15, 2013. There will be a Memorial Service held at First United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11am, the family will be receiving friends 1 hour prior. He is survived by his wife Rhebia Nordan; children, Bob Donald, Jr. (Cathy), Sally Donald O'Driscoll (John Paul), all of Montgomery, Margaret Donald Miller (Richard), of Collinsville, CT, Elanor Nordan Kelley, Emily Cameron Nordan McLendon, Tammy Holcomb (Jimmy), Tate Allen (Gwen); his sister Emily Nordan Dembitsky; nephew Nordan Zenon Dembitsky of Montgomery; grandchildren Christian Holcomb (Sonya), Hannah Davis (Jarrod), Averie Tompkins (Josh), Zachary Allen, Aliyah Tompkins, Jerome O'Driscoll, John O'Driscoll, Sara Miller, Zoe Miller and Laura Donald. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Sutton Timmons Donald Nordan and his parents Curtis M. Nordan, Sr. and Emily Campbell Reynolds Nordan. He was a descendant of the early settlers of Montgomery, served as President of The Society of Pioneers of Montgomery, President of The Montgomery Association of Realtors and MLS, was selected as "Realtor of the Year" for outstanding service, President of the Montgomery Chapter of American Heart Association, Vestryman and Senior Warden of his former Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and The University of Alabama. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta college fraternity, and was a commissioned officer in the US Army artillery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice .
