Algernon Sidney Coleman, Jr., 81, died Friday, February 8, 2013 after a brief illness. He was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and Auburn University, and a lifelong member of St. John's Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lucy Oliver Coleman and Algernon Sidney Coleman, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Carol Harris Coleman, son Algernon Sidney Coleman III (Debbie), daughter Carol Coleman Upchurch (Ken), son John Nelson Coleman (Beaty), grandchildren Caroline Coleman Blount (John), Algernon Sidney Coleman IV, Ann Coleman Upchurch, Lucy Oliver Upchurch, Mary Evelyn Coleman, Ann Oliver Coleman, great grandchild Laura Coleman Blount.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Answered Prayers for their love and care.

The family will be receiving friends at 10am Monday, February 11, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church followed by a Memorial Service at 11am.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 113 Madison Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36104 or the charity of one's choice.
