SMITH, Mary Ellen, age 75, of Hoover, died Saturday, August 6, 2005. She was a graduate from Lanier High, class of 1948 as Mary Ellen Taylor, D.O Student Dentistry. Survivors include her husband, Joe D. Smith; daughter, Debby Stewart; three sons, Thomas G. Walker D.D.S, Drew "Bud" Smith and Brent Smith; three grandsons, Scott Stewart, Thomas Walker and William Smith; three granddaughters, Melissa Walker, Lauren Smith and Christine Ames; one great grandson Rece Stewart and one sister, Kay Geske. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Hwy 119. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Hwy 119.
