Carolyn McDade Sandman  - August 27, 1928 – April 29, 2006

Our beloved mother Carolyn McDade Sandman of Stockton, California passed away comfortably and peacefully on April 29, 2006.

Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, where she graduated from Sidney Lanier High School and later worked at Maxwell Air Force Base, Carolyn came to Stockton in 1966 with her husband, the late Lt. Col. George K. Sandman (USAF Ret.).

While living in Stockton, Carolyn devoted herself to her family before and while working in various positions at the Headquarters Office of the Naval Communications Station at Rough and Ready Island.  She retired following 25 years of federal government service.

Carolyn was a loving wife and mother, a dedicated swim team volunteer, a symphony aficionado, a caring neighbor and a friend to many.

Carolyn is survived by her son Richard and wife Margo, daughter Kathryn, son Robert and wife Alison, grandchildren Samantha, Gabrielle, Jacob and Julia, and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in Stockton on May 12.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Carolyn's memory to the
