Lydia Wachs (Brackin) (1926-2011) - Class Of 1945

BRACKIN, Lydia Wachs, 84, passed away on January 19, 2011. Lydia was born in Montgomery and lived in Birmingham AL and Navarre, FL before returning to Montgomery. She retired from Sears in Birmingham after 44 years. Lydia was an active member of Memorial Presbyterian Church; Past President of Children's Home Society of FL, Western Division. She is survived by a devoted family: her husband of 64 years, Bob Brackin of Montgomery; Children: Ann Brackin Davidson (George Raymond) of Montgomery; Lynne Brackin Terry of Phenix City; Joe Brackin (Roberta) of Atlanta; Grandchildren: George Davidson and Andrew Terry of Phenix City, Christopher Joel Davidson of Atlanta, Cathy Davidson Larson (Will) of Eugene, OR, Russell Terry (Jessica) of Montgomery and Matthew Terry of Auburn; Great Grandchildren: Dewey and Ashton Terry of Montgomery; Sisters: Ruth Andrews of Panama City, FL, Betty King of Savannah, GA.; Brothers: Sam Wachs (June) and Jack Wachs (Jan) of Montgomery; Many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Thursday evening, January 20 from 6:30- 8:00 PM at Young Meadows Presbyterian Church, Montgomery. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 at Memorial Presbyterian Church, Montgomery.
