Tommie Ruth Foreman (Davis) (1926-2014) - Class Of 1944

Tommie Ruth Foreman Davis, 87, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, March 22, 2014.

A lifetime resident of Montgomery, Alabama, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jasper Newton Foreman and Ella Jane Nixon Foreman; maternal grandparents, David Lee Osteen and Sarah Lillie Dillard Osteen; her parents, William Hannon Foreman and Lillie Ruth Osteen Foreman.

She is survived by her son Horace Hannon Davis and his wife Holly; grandson William Clayton Davis, granddaughter Deanna Ruth Davis Chira (Andy), and great-granddaughter Katherine Abigail Chira.

A loving mother, Tommie's thoughts were always with her family and ours with her. Tommie retired from Civil Service where she enjoyed an interesting career working with the Middle District of Alabama, The United States Army, and The United States Air Force. For a number of years she was a Member of the Alabama Board of Realtors and held an Alabama Brokers License. She was very proud to have been a graduate of the Sidney Lanier Class of 1944.

Funeral services will be at Leak Memory, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama Wednesday March, 26, 2014 at 3 pm, with visitation at 2 pm.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Heritage Baptist Church (previously Clayton Street Baptist).

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Heritage Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL; Shoal Creek Baptist Church, Deatsville, AL; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Memphis, TN.
