William Caffey Rudulph (1926-2011) - Class Of 1943

William Caffey Rudulph , died Saturday, August 27, 2011 after an extended illness at the age of 84. He was born Sept. 2, 1926 in Selma, Alabama to Burwell Blount Rudulph and Caroline Caffey Rudulph. He was the devoted husband of Fay Chittum of Lexington, Virginia who predeceased him. Attending the Starke School and graduating from Sidney Lanier High School, William attended Virginia Military Institute and graduated from University of Alabama. He received a masters degree from University of Southwestern Louisiana. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater of Operations. He was an active member of Rotary Clubs in Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and Virginia and he was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a faithful member of the Baptist Church wherever he lived. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at 10:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery, the Rev. Michael Howell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Rotary International Foundation 5015 Woods Crossing, Montgomery, AL 36106.
