Joy McGlynn McLemore, 87, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, died peacefully at home the 26 of February, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Andrew Jackson McLemore, Jr., and by her sister Mignon McGlynn Watt. She is survived by her children: Katherine Rees (Dave), Yvonne Williamson (McGowin), Jack McLemore III (Dolly), Harold McLemore (Linda), Allen McLemore (Martha), ten grandchildren: David Rees, Jr., (Paula), Tanner Rees Munson (Matt), Sarah Williamson, Ledyard Williamson, Kate Williamson, Andrea Catherine McLemore, Jackson McLemore, IV (Nicole), Carrie McLemore Wiatt (Streeter), Molly McLemore, Lily McLemore, and five great-grandchildren, Kate Rees, David Rees III, Anna Munson, Isabella Munson, Lorelai McLemore, and many nieces, nephews and other family.

Mrs. McLemore was a faithful member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she served many years on the St. Anne's Guild and the Flower Guild.

Mrs. McLemore was lovingly cared for by Mary Sanders, Cindy Shaw, and Cassandra Henderson and Southeast Hospice.

Pallbearers are David Rees, Jr., Jackson McLemore, IV, Ledyard Williamson, Matt Munson, Streeter Wiatt, III, Price McLemore, III, Larry McLemore, Jr. and Lewis Watt.

Honorary Pallbearers are Price McLemore, Jr., Larry McLemore, Raymond Boykin, Jack Smith, Spears Rhodes, Allen Thames, James Walter, James Mac Walker and all her loving nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church at 10:00 A.M. followed by a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery. The Reverend Robert Wisnewski will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mary McLemore Scholarship Fund at St. John's Episcopal Church, Southeast Hospice, or your favorite charity .
